Drew students create device to help solve hot car deaths

Drew Charter School engineering students won a grant, but need money to present their invention at MIT. The East Lake students created a three-tier alert devise to reduce child and animal hot car deaths in the United States.

East Lake Foundation Receives $20,000 Grant from Wells Fargo

The East Lake Foundation today announced it received a $20,000 contribution from Wells Fargo to fund the Resident and Community Support Program (RCSP) in The Villages of East Lake.

Elementary Academy Certified as Official STEAM School by the Georgia Department of Education

Drew Charter School Elementary Academy has been certified as an official Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) School by the Georgia Department of Education. Drew is the first school in the city of Atlanta to receive this designation, which was created to recognize institutions committed to providing high-quality educational opportunities in STEAM.
