Our Mission

The East Lake Foundation provides the tools for families of The Villages of East Lake and students of Drew Charter School to build a better life for themselves and future generations through education, mixed-income housing and community wellness.

Community Revitalization

The East Lake Foundation helps families build better lives and children reach their highest potential through its holistic approach of:

  • Cradle-to-College Education

From birth through high school, East Lake children have access to high-quality learning experiences.  Studies show that the longer children stay in our programs, the more likely they are to excel.

    • Charles R. Drew Charter School serves over 1,200 students from Pre-K through grade nine
    • CREW (Creating Responsible, Educated, Working) Teens
    • Drew Charter School Office of Extended Services
    • Scholarship programs
    • East Lake Early Learning Academy at the East Lake YMCA
    • East Lake Sheltering Arms Early Education and Family Center
  • Mixed-income Housing

At the center of the East Lake neighborhood are The Villages of East Lake, 542 market rate and affordable townhomes, villas and garden apartments.

    • Resident and Community Support Program provides economic stability and community engagement programs and activities.
