Riding the bus from a public housing development to the richest neighborhood in Atlanta changed Shannon Heath Longino’s life. Longino was just two weeks old when she moved with her grandmother to East Lake Meadows, a newly built public housing community at the easternmost edge of Atlanta.

On November 4th, the East Lake Women's Alliance (ELWA) gathered at Intown Golf Club to celebrate the end of a fantastic year and to determine how to grant their collective dues this year. The Foundation has established the East Lake COVID-19 Relief Fund to provide targeted short- and long- term support to stabilize families and our community wellness partners who are experiencing economic hardship.
