State gives Grove Park apartment development major boost

The Georgia Department of Community Affairs has awarded the Grove Park Foundation and its partner, Columbia Residential, 9 percent Low Income Housing Tax Credits to build a new 110-unit, mixed-income, multi-family housing development. The residential development is part of a larger neighborhood revitalization strategy for Grove Park, which also includes initiatives in education, community wellness and financial empowerment in partnership with Grove Park residents. Grove Park is part of the Purpose Built Communities network.

On November 8th, the East Lake Foundation hosted the 4th Annual Swing for East Lake at Topgolf Midtown. ELWA Grants $30,000 to the RISE after school program at Drew Charter School

The ELWA has chosen to grant their collective membership dues to the RISE after school program at Drew Charter School. A total of $30,000 will be directed to this important comprehensive after school program for Pre-K through 5th grade students. The program includes academic, recreational and athletic activities which are designed to supplement and enrich students’ learning during the day time. Learn more

Party on the Green raises record amount

The East Lake Foundation announced that the 2018 Party on the Green, honoring Jim and Sarah Kennedy, raised a record $500,000 for the East Lake Early Childhood Education Initiative. Learn more

Drew Charter School's Class of 2018

On May 19, 2018, Drew Charter School graduated the Class of 2018. With acceptances to more than 100 colleges and universities, the Class of 2018 earned over $9 million in college scholarships.
