Run for East Lake 5K and Fun Run
Join us for the Run for East Lake 5K and Fun Run on August 3, 2024! It will be a day of fun, fitness, and community spirit as we lace up our sneakers and hit the pavement together!
Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting your fitness journey, this 5K is for you. Run through the beautiful East Lake community highlighting the Villages of East Lake, East Lake Family YMCA, Charlie Yates Golf Course, and much more. East Lake Women's Alliance Grants $20,000 to East Lake Junior Golf Programming
In November, the East Lake Women’s Alliance (ELWA) gathered for its annual grant night celebration. The ELWA chose to donate their collective dues, totaling $20,000, to the Foundation’s Junior Golf Initiative in partnership with Charles R. Drew Charter School. Support from ELWA will help strengthen the confidence and character of our children and teens through the game of golf. Thank you to all of our ELWA members for making this an evening to remember.
Record $6.96 million donation to the Atlanta community from 2023 TOUR Championship
The TOUR Championship announced a record $6.96 million charitable donation from the 2023 tournament, up from $5.5 million in 2022. The announcement was made during Drew Charter School’s annual Senior Walk, where 32 of the 111 graduating students have been part of the school’s cradle-to-college/career continuum from kindergarten through 12th grade.
With the support of its Proud Partners Coca-Cola, Southern Company and Accenture, the TOUR Championship has now raised more than $54 million for local nonprofits since the event was first staged at East Lake Golf Club in 1998, including its five charitable beneficiaries: East Lake Foundation, First Tee – Metro Atlanta, Focused Community Strategies, Grove Park Foundation, and Purpose Built Schools Atlanta.
