TOUR Championship officials today announced the TOUR Championship Charity Challenge, a televised nine-hole exhibition on Wednesday, Sept. 1, from 3-5 p.m. to benefit the East Lake Foundation and the TOUR Championship’s other charitable beneficiaries.
Despite challenges stemming from the coronavirus pandemic including an absence of paying spectators, last year’s PGA TOUR Championship event at East Lake Golf Club raised a record-breaking $3.56 million for four local nonprofit organizations: East Lake Foundation; Grove Park Foundation; Purpose Built Schools Atlanta; and First Tee Metro Atlanta. Prospects are good for another record-breaking outcome for the same quartet of local beneficiaries when The TOUR Championship returns to East Lake Golf Cub Sept. 2-5.
