East Lake Foundation Welcomes Delta Community Credit Union Leader to Board, Strengthens its Deep Roots in the Community
ATLANTA—August 13, 2025—The East Lake Foundation is proud to announce the appointment of William Wesley, Senior Community Development Representative for Delta Community Credit Union and a passionate champion of social impact, to its Board of Directors. Mr. Wesley’s appointment further strengthens the Board’s direct connection to the East Lake community and its commitment to holistic neighborhood development.
With over 15 years of experience in financial services and entrepreneurship, Mr. Wesley brings a dynamic skill set to the Board, including expertise in program and project management, stakeholder engagement, social development and public speaking. In his current role at Delta Community Credit Union, he manages community investment strategies and a portfolio of school and nonprofit partners committed to improving the physical and financial well-being of young people and families. His contributions have earned him two top employee awards for individual production, performance and consistent dedication to the company’s members, purpose and vision.

A true stakeholder in the East Lake neighborhood, Mr. Wesley has directly benefited from and actively contributed to the community’s growth. He is a proud “Drew Charter School Dad” and was a resident of The Villages of East Lake (VOEL) for more than five years. His hands-on involvement includes being a member of the “Trashy Dads” community clean-up crew, directing over $12,000 to support Drew Charter School’s Science Fair, securing over $10,000 in sponsorship support for the East Lake YMCA, and facilitating more than 15 financial education workshops for VOEL residents since 2020. He was also an East Lake Foundation scholarship recipient in 2020.
Mr. Wesley also actively serves as an executive and advisory board member for numerous organizations throughout Georgia and metro Atlanta, including the Georgia Council of Economic Education, Inspiredu, Atlanta Public Schools CTAE, Drew Charter School STEAM Advisory and previously the East Lake Neighborhood Community Association Board. He recently completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Social Entrepreneurship with a concentration on Economic Development of Cities from Georgia State University’s Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, as a first-generation college graduate. He aspires to leverage his education and experience to create social impact through initiatives utilizing emerging technology.
